002 R&D – Using Dropbox To Transfer WAV Files Over The Internet | Rollz and Dice Continue To Discuss Plans For The Album

So, here’s the story. I’m Rollz and my buddy is Dice. We have already written and recorded our first album. It took us about a year and a half and spanned from the summer of 2009 to early 2011. It’s called Warehouse Funk and you can download it HERE. Now, nearly five years later, we are starting production on our second album, except this time, we are doing it all over the Internet. I live in California and Dice is back in New England. We are developing concepts, writing lyrics, and arranging beats. We have our weekly conference calls via phone/Skype/FaceTime where we share ideas and discuss plans.

We record our conversations and release them in episodic fashion as a podcast called The Rollz and Dice Show. You can listen here using the media player above or subscribe to the podcast in the iTunes Store HERE. In this, our second episode, we talk about the first beat we are working on and some lyrical ideas. I try to share as much information as I can about the technical side of things such as how we are transferring our files using Dropbox and how we get it done. Check it out and leave a rating or comment in the iTunes Store to give us some love! Or just listen and see if you can learn about making your own record!
